5e has an advantage of not requiring doctorate in quantum physics to run ( ttrpg.network )

I would usually be sad to see another original RPG go 5e compatible but Neuroshima was infamously poorly designed ruleset, possibly worse than Shadowrun. I probably won't be running it, but may steal statblocks for my 5e game if I need weird stuff again.

I have a friend who proudly claims to be a Christian Republican and that being gay is a sin and wrong. Then he will say in the same breath that he is gay and mean it. I have never seen something of the sort and it nearly shorts my wires. Idk what's going on there but its the same vibe.

None of them accept facts. They say they do but they reject them. Half of my friends I've known since before politics mattered to us ended up on the misinformed Rubepublican side. If you give them facts (like adoptions rose by 52% when gay marriage was legalized in the 90's) they just reject them or ad another criteria. The guy we were arguing with said gay couples don't make a difference because older children still have a hard time getting adopted, what?

These people aren't interested in good faith arguments or any evidence presented. They've figured out subconsciously that reality does not align with their viewpoints and are primed to reject it. Idk what you do when a good chunk of your population gets like this but we need to do something to get these people out of these harmful misinformation circles.

That won't happen until you can't buy food at the grocers. Because the threat of imprisonment outweighs the perceived threat of these actions. Even though, at the end of the day, this law is just as damaging to individuals as an actual prison.

I have nothing to add except that ED with VR and hotas controllers is one of the best VR spaceflight experiences out there. Dogfighting with that setup is unparalleled. Being able to watch your target as you flip over them to their tail just gets my jimmies jumpin'.

Okay, start in local election. Vote in every single one of them and get all your friends/people you know/anybody around you to participate to. Nothing changes until we start at the bottom. There are usually bills and such up that provides funding to schools and all other things. The key is mostly old people turn out for these. We have to start there.

Another thing we could do is try to raise the pay for all local offices. Usually only the already wealthy can even think about taking these cause the pay is so abysmal a high school student would reject it. If we change that we can begin to put our people in the grass roots and enact change locally, strengthening our cause to enact change nationally. This is the path to ranked choice. Its not easy.

Once we get people actually able to participate things will change. But this entire machine is set up so the only fuckers with time and will to vote are retired old conservatives.
