Basically as soon as I found out about it. I really got into it when I later discovered emulation. Never felt bad about it; I was pretty much only looking for games I literally could not buy because they could only be had via retailers, and they didn't always carry every title.

where do people with pirated copies of games meet to play online together ?

I recently got into fighting games (like: kof - street fighters - Mortal Kombat - Guilty Gear...etc). Now you can pirate the game, and you can play it online with someone if the two of you agree on using same pirated copy and Hamachi for example, but where do you meet these people to play with? are there dedicated forums for...

I usually don't because even if there is a way to play the game online with a pirate copy, those servers are separate from the official ones and have even more rampant cheating.

Can somebody explain why game makers don't start their own companies together?

It seems like every other week a game studio is massively laying off employees; sometimes after years of development. What I'm reading is that it's a quick way to lower expenses and pad the investors' pockets, flooding the market with developers and reducing their value, to then hire them back a few months later at lower...

They do, though. Like, all the time. Many Indy companies start this way, and a lot of AA to even AAA studios started after high profile people were let go or otherwise left a bigger company to start their own.

I just get actual music sheets so I can play the song on any instrument I know how to play. They don't seem to be hard to get but if you don't know how to read them it's not helpful. Could learn; it's not hard.

Dpad for precise timing (like movement). Analogue for precise looking (like aiming).

If I could use the dpad to move in a souls game (especially the ones with movement based combos) I would. But I'd still want the analogue stick for the camera.

The fact it can be configured so freely is one of the best things about Linux. A generic "one size fits all" solution would just end up being like Windows or MacOS.

The Sims 3 had interactive loading screens prior to 2015 when one of the first DLCs introduced them. They're just "find the object" puzzles that earn you in-game points for the family you're loading. They're the only non-Namco game interactive loading screens I can think of that were around before the patent expired.

The first one I saw was by the patent holder, Namco, where you could play Galaga while Ridge Racer loaded. I always wanted to see it used more and was stoked when I read the news about the patent expiring.

Torrenting exposes your public IP. In a country where government doesn't care, does that pose a risk?

I honestly don't believe I will have any legal trouble because I don't do anything like cp or worse, I just pirate media I like, not even porn. But across users of communities, or on public trackers, is IP exposure something to be concerned about?

Don't even have to call a library or declare a variable! Meanwhile, I can't even remember the shit you need to put in front of every C/C++ program (HREF/void.h or something; it's usually there automatically these days in some compilers, like Visual Studio).

Who am I saving it for? The players or the shareholders? Because if I was in charge, the shareholders would fucking kill me. I would be collaborating with actual players and making good rules and publishing them for free, focusing sales on miniatures and pre-made campaign modules, fictional publications and merch.

It's meant for children so, yeah, as an adult it fucking sucks to hold. But that is still the case when it's docked and you're using the joycons. The joycons are just incredibly small. They also suck in terms of construction and get drifting sticks super fast.
