I don't get the reactions as well. Are we pretending there is a lot of gore and erotic content in media??? Just because this is choose your own adventure its different. I understand the concern about the future and we have seen overbloated projects have issues. In the long run though I will use what works best for me and only get into philosophical comparisons if im making the choice between relatively equal options.

Can somebody explain why game makers don't start their own companies together?

It seems like every other week a game studio is massively laying off employees; sometimes after years of development. https://zorin.com/os/ its an out of the box distro that specifically tries to emulate the windows feel. In particular it has play on linux installed by default making running windows programs when needed as easy as it can be. the out of the box is office type stuff really though so you will have to install blender and such.

im not really a beginner myself but Im lazy and this point and just want a system up and running asap. if I was not using it I would likely use puppy because I like the read only core.

for folks who won't move off windows. portable apps. install it to a folder in the hard drive and when they update machines show them how you just copy it to the new machine. Only downside is it might lessen the incentive to just get off of windows. I would sorta like something like that with an emulator and an ability to run software on any architecture.

Oh. I thought folks were saying without a warrant. just at a stop. I get once the court is involved we pretty much lose our rights. Judges can put you in jail pretty much as they please once your in a court room and of course people are jailed and lose many rights. Not happy about that either granted but I get it.

This sounds a lot like how people would use windows paint for simple things over photoshop. Many folks just want a simplified tool. I was estatic to find out firefox now gives simple pdf editing capabilities instead of me importing it into libre office draw.

Im not sure but im guessing most people complain because they want something intuitive and easy although my wife uses photoshop and I could not get her to use gimp so the layout must be different to some degree.

As much as im a foss person I could see if failing on "merits" in the sense it started in 2003. SuSE might have been worked out but they took 10 years and if at that point they were still using something decided in 2003 it was bound to be messed up. Seriously we are talking when open office was nascent and star office was a thing.

so much agree. Why do we even allow data brokers? How about something like an entitiy cannot collect information that is not necessary to conduct the business it is in and cannot sell or provide that information to any other entity outside of the one they collected the information from which must be provided free upon request.
