+1, I have huge issues with Electron apps running on native Wayland.
Fractional scaling doesn’t work, when I maximise an app it’s not covering my whole screen, same happens when manually resizing windows. What’s worse some apps do scale button positions, ex. native Discord, so when I click a button, something else to the left gets clicked.
XWayland works fine though
Yesn't. Look at HeSuVi and their process of making your own HRTF profiles. Once you'll get impulse files you can use them with pipewire, they have a preset designed specifically for HeSuVi profiles.
It's a lengthy process but the end result is roughly the same as with DTS Sound Unbound
Not sure if relevant but I've noticed in Hunt: Showdown I keep going too far in an item selector, but only when scrolling downwards. However it doesn't happen outside of games (Xwayland issue?)
I find it funny it's called an American product as its iconic design was made by a Brit, CPU is manufactured in Taiwan and the rest is made and assembled in China
Ye, since Plasma 5.24 I think. Used to occasionally switch to X11 for competitive gaming, but as of Plasma 6 their Wayland compositor supports fullscreen tearing, so now I have no need to use X11 anymore
X apps can read all of your keystrokes. Wayland by default doesn't allow this, and because of that apps running on XWayland can ex. have it's global shortcuts broken. Plasma already had an option to change this behaviour back in 5.27. I guess they changed it from "Never" read keystrokes to "Only with modifier keys", as a default.
It works for me as well - Asus VG259Q. I'm surprised my screen even has this feature, and even more surprised you can do that over DisplayPort. Even Windows doesn't have that lol
FYI there's an open-source project "Monado" which attempts to reverse-engineer inside-out tracked headsets. At the moment their WMR support looks promising, headset has 6-DoF tracking and just recently controller tracking has been figured out.
Said progress will trickle down to the Oculus Rift S as well

Each time I try AMD graphics, something is fucked for me. Back with fglrx, fglrx just sucked, so I used Nvidia. In the meantime I had a new work notebook where I...
Polaris GPUs had very weak video encoders, I also had an RX 580 and had issues on Linux as well as Windows. To my knowledge the AMF encoders worked better for those, but I could never get them working with OBS

I can’t imagine there is but I’m wondering if I am missing something. I use GeForce Now and unfortunately it does not work in Plasma Wayland (issues with input redirection). Is there any problem with logging into an X11 session whenever I want to use that but using Wayland generally?
I had issues with Freesync, if I opened an X11 session at launch then it worked with only one screen connected, but it was reliable and didn’t need any further tinkering.
If I launched Wayland first and then switched to X11, my screen’s refresh rate would get locked on a random value. I’d have to either cycle compositing on/off, or enable the TearFree flag in xrandr.
In the end Wayland gaming got improved on Plasma 6 so I no longer use X11
