I'd like it to open an app that shows a list at once instead of the current, horribly inefficient way that makes apps mostly take up almost the whole screen, one at a time... Thanks for any ideas!
That way my partner can edit their list and I can see what they're editing while doing the same on mine, thus avoiding collisions.
Even though you say you want to ditch this system, this is really as clever and thoughtful as it is creative and incredibly determined (in terms of sticking to FOSS to achieve this). You're inspiring!
Oh... I didn't know Obsidian isn't FOSS... Hmm, all I can think of is just some sort of read-only file on the other side's end, and opening the two of them in split-screen...
I can't imagine what that would be since FOSS itself is already so niche. Do you want to start such a program at your local library? That would be awesome!
Hello, i was looking for a wysiwyg html editors i could use for my personal website, perferrably just as a simple open source desktop program on linux (though anything else is fine). i DID find something called KompoZer but i was wondering if there's any other ones, thanks
It seems like every other week a game studio is massively laying off employees; sometimes after years of development. What I'm reading is that it's a quick way to lower expenses and pad the investors' pockets, flooding the market with developers and reducing their value, to then hire them back a few months later at lower...
the only viable option, assuming you're not already independently wealthy, is that you have to work another job to work on the game in the meantime, which means it will take even longer to come out.
I rely on Bitwarden (slooowly migrating from... a spreadsheet...) and am thinking of keeping a master backup to be SyncThing-synchronized across all my devices, but I'm not sure of how to secure the SyncThing-synchronized files' local access if any one of my Windows or Android units got stolen and somehow cracked into or...
I guess it's in cases when I may not be able to use Bitwarden, but... I suppose it can be used everywhere! Clearly, I'm new to this thing, so that's good to know!

This is really intriguing, but am I reading the instructions correctly? Call me dumb, but I don't know how to reinstall Win10 Home; I don't have a recovery CD or anything like that. I'd also need to back up everything first... which would be a pain...
Correct, Oracle VirtualBox was the furthest I went. It was interesting, but:
there is absolutely zero reason to not go the extra mile and hop to desktop freedom.
My digital life, in both professional and personal capacities, is intertwined with hundreds of my AutoHotkey scripts, which appears to be Win-only; AutoKey is the closest thing that I could find and is so much harder to use or even understand.
which didn’t catch with me but did suggest I might actually be able to enjoy a card-based system with enough narrative context to keep me interested.
FYI, you can learn bits and pieces about Slay's lore through the various events that come up. A pretty large chunk of lore comes up upon one particular respawn/new run.
I'm guessing maybe you don't like detective games in which you have to uncover the plot yourself. I suppose it's all about the method of presentation for me.
I was going to say replaying but I feel like that limits the question to games like Prey or Fallout New Vegas that have endings and games like The Sims 2 or Cities Skylines where you can play indefinitely end up excluded....
I'm not usually a huge fan of rogue-likes, but I've enjoyed a few, like Hades. I bought Balatro last week and have been absolutely smashing it ever since then. I love the way the game works, each run being so different even within the same framework, and the feeling when your build starts to go off is so incredibly satisfying....
Is there a way to set the Recent Apps button to instead open another app (or just be better overall)?
