yup, it's annoying when you open youtube link not knowing it's youtube and now having to press back 10 times to go back, now i have to manually resume my music, in the re**it times Relay had a feature that showed a triangle in the preview corner, it's color was red for videos, blue for images etc

Open source e reader ( lemmy.ml )

I recently got a Sony prs 600 e reader from 2009. The battery is at the end of its life (It lasts about 3 days with heavy reading, and a couple weeks without reading). You're right, a lot of tankies on Lemmy, but I don't understand what's commie in open source concept, OP is right, e-readers are kinda expensive, composting to phones for example, being able to make an e-reader by yourself would be nice

Ah, the book title, to each their own, I think calling people out because book they read is kinda stupid, it's a small step from burning books

Briefly researched the idea after looking for an e-reader, a screen would be the most expensive part, a cheap microcontroller and battery would be the second ones, overall it would be more expensive than basic kindle with a lot worse capabilities, like worse screen etc

Yeah, your can easily get a ban for saying something wrong on China for example, it depends on the instance thought, anybody knows Lemmy creator's political views by the way

Past Linux user here, not only do I use openwrt, but I base my routers choice on openwrt support, it's weird to me there are long term Linux users who don't know what openwrt is

You mean as an OS? Windows, but I feel fluent in Linux, used it for a few years, subbed here as a sentiment😄 I work in IT, mainly Windows administration but some Linux too
