Not related to selfhosted but OK.

Don’t know about such software for Windows, but if you run Windows on a virtual machine on Linux, like virt-manager/libvirt you can add the USB as a local SSD.
Virt-manager isn’t the most user friendly, but have a lot of features

I only use PiHole for a couple of months, it wasn’t easy to setup something that worked on my LAN and over internet. Initially I used OpenVPN but was hard to use it with profiles to identify the devices.

Than a tried AdGuard Home, and use it with DoH/DoT server was very simple, and can easily use any profile for each device on LAN or DoH/DoT server.
Can easily search logs and block/allow for each device.

Give it a try, and use it for a couple days.

Adblock is piracy!

Just use Pided (piped.video), Invidious, Freetube or something else.

Youtube website is just trash bloated with JavaScript and trackers.

Will I be eventually able to access Threads and Bluesky from my Lemmy account?

From what I understand, Threads will be joining the fediverse, and Bluesky is going to be federated. Will I eventually be able to access both from my Lemmy instance? I’m also still trying to wrap my head around the whole concept so I’m not even sure if I’m asking my question correctly

Hope not, instances should block Threads instead.
Meta/Facebook could use that to harvest more data, and Meta isn't known for privacy.

And Thread trolls spamming the fediverse also not a good ideia.

It will be working till new update, then the developer should revoke if current API key and create a new for the new version.
Aver that it should stop work

It’s a good idea, instead of “please join Lemmy/kbin”, just share posts and people get more interested on what is this

Generator ,
@Generator@lemmy.pt avatar

There another potential app, Fedilab - fedilab.app
Not in development (yet) but there’s some feature requests to support Lemmy/Kbin:
codeberg.org/tom79/Fedilab/issues/886
codeberg.org/tom79/Fedilab/issues/887

You can also send mails from gmail to yahoo with registering on yahoo.

That's how internet was born, people are just rediscovering that platforms don't need to be controlled by one single company

Just one thing, must be indefinitely not 48h, otherwise nothing will change. A year have 365 days, 48h it’s a weekend, if subreddits come back after 48h it’s nothing happened.

Maybe because he’s not “American” and comes from a country with regulations like the rest of the world, and people care when they vote to make things work.

And like most of the rest of the world, there are more than two political parties, and is not a drama show.

I know, im from Europe.
The drama is not compared to USA, we don’t vote on celebrities.

In my country we even have a party for the animals and climate, so when USA still trying to vote for basic rights, we already ahead and vote for animal rights and more climate change.
