FOSS - ensuring even new hardware stays in use when vendor-support eventually ends!
Whether or not you install GNU/Linux on it today, your new #Mac will eventually lose #Apple support. Thanks to the impressive work of #Asahi#Linux project (@AsahiLinux), it will not need to end up in the landfill once it does.

Eeeh. Backporting the bugfix also seems unlikely. So in conclusion, I gotta build it myself.
I don't want bleeding edge, I want less bugs. Yeah, plasma_wayland works okay, but not with two monitors.
After a few months of using @archlinux with the @kde desktop I have moved back to @fedora don't get me wrong I love love Arch btw, but Fedora has won my heart over. It just works... Well besides the dual screen thing but that is a wayland issue. I guess I use X11 till that issue is resolved.
@Vilian Yeah, like 2 screens. I could never get it to work with Wayland. My 2nd monitor is just a blank white screen or half of the monitor is showing with a white bottom. It's a known issue with wayland and nvidia, which should be fixed soon with the patches nvidia is getting.
#Kdenlive 24.05 beta is ready for testing! Checkout new features like Group Effects and automatic subtitle translations. Other highlights include a huge performance boost to the spacer tool and improvements to multiple bins. Also, audio capture is back. 😉
@kdenlive@kde amazing. love to see more things to make repetitive tasks like adding text as subtitles alot more automated. it took me hours before just to get 3-4 minutes of videos doing that
KDE will mentor ten projects in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) this year. Congrats to everyone who got selected!

I always thought Kibi, Mebi and Gibi were base 10, and Kilo, Mega and Giga were binary, but now that I think about it, it makes sense that its the other way around.
