How is the size of Lemmy's userbase changing? Is it growing or shrinking? How diverse is it? What do the current trendlines look like as we approach a year since Rexxit?...
I'd prefer to get a VPN to avoid the risk of my internet getting shut down, but I'm not aware of what the options for Linux are. I figured this would be a good place to ask.
It seems like the FOSS community is continuing to grow, and FOSS apps keep getting better (Immich reallh blew my mind recently), which is a big win 😎 but there are still many apps I use that I would kill for an open source alternative. I am curious what you guys think? Are there any apps you'd love alternatives for?
Why in Linux, Software uses a particular version of a library? Why not just say it's dependent on that library regardless of version? It become pain in ass when you are using an ancient software it required old version of newer library so you have to create symlinks of every library to match old version.
I know that sometimes newer version of Library is not compatible with software but still. And what we can do as a software developer to fix this problem? Or as a end user.
What was the first ever distro you installed and used? For me, it was Mint as I seemed like the closest thing to Windows minus all the forced updates and chappy changes....
Maybe, You can find different mods which add similar item and mechanics of Survivalcraft to Minetest and make it a modpack. Also there's a fork MCL2 knowns as Mineclonia which is kinda better than Mineclone2

Most modder nowdays not just provide paid version of app but also cut down most of telementry and tracking stuff. Also I check AndroidManifest it doesn't have any unnecessary permission but still I am not gonna use a close sourced keyboard.
