What are the most private social media platforms?

I've been feeling uneasy about the privacy implications of using Lemmy and similar platforms. The ability for anyone to view your entire posting history feels to me like publicly sharing my browser history. In contrast, most other social media platforms allow you to limit your feed visibility to just friends or followers....

A perfectly private social media service could be constructed but it likely won't because there is no profit motive.

Nokia ? I have an XR20. Doubles as a GPS etc on the front of my bicycle, its great, has a headphone jack and SD expansion.

I am not that familair with their lineup though there is an XR21 I think? And a bunch of other models.

A couple years ago, I decided not to cut my nose off to spite my face and evaluate the products and hope some shenanigans root kit doesn't happen after i've purchased it

I think im paraphrasing the author Iain Banks here, I feel like a piece of sweet corn in a turd, technically I'm intact but I'm still surrounded by shit.

On the plus side it pushed me to Linux as my desktop OS.

My Nokia XR20 has all three (and NFC), that and it being a "tough phone" were the attraction at the time, as it double times as the GPS on my bicycle and track logging hikes etc

I am not sure if the newer XR21 kept them?.

There is a thing where some Americans when exposed to other ways of doing things in the world insisit everyone's a commie. It's interesting to me that McCarthyism persists and that commie is used as some sort of pejorative but can't compete with the wide world on some things and resort to big daddy government protectionism eg TikTok, steel imports, ecars etc

Why is Session always mentioned ? It's an Australian company, in a land with zero constitutional oversight I'd be more inclined to think its a honeypot then a privavy focused chat app. Anom springs to mind as an example.

I agree, this is juat bloat. Super useful .to have the utility but in a browser ffs ? Just have an app people can download that you can do it with, I'd for sure use it. They don't even have native grouped tabs yet, something that a browser should do so start focusing in browser improvement.
