@serenebabe We are a local newsroom in Boston, so what I share about international news typically comes from Associated Press.

If I talked to someone there, what do you think should replace "fighting" in this headline?

@gbhnews hi! that makes sense. I'm not an expert, of course, but here's how I'd rewrite it: "1.3 million people trapped as Israel bombs Rafah" because that's the bigger news. Focusing on "Palestinian militants" is misleading, as if this a battle between equals rather than the domination of one over the other.
