Hi there, keeping this post up given its a great question that is generally applicable to those of us brand new to Lemmy and you did share your own experiences with Jerboa. I would just flag for future reference rule 2 and that questions usually belong on !askandroid.
I don’t currently have an Android tablet but I find the web-based ones like Voyager/wefwef work well on larger displays even if they’re not designed with them in mind. We also have a list of apps if you haven’t already seen it: lemdro.id/post/4319 (pinned at !lemdroid).
