The potential to create a communications network from Earth to the Moon, and even to Mars, is a dream which is closer to being made reality. Dr. Yosuke Kaneko, President of the Interplanetary Networking Special Interest Group (IPNSIG), spoke at the @w3c member meeting in #Hiroshima 🇯🇵 with his thoughts about connecting humanity even beyond the limits of our world.

@ZoidbergForPresident@w3cdevs Certainly data (GPS, scientific readings of all kinds) does travel from satellites and other space craft over vast distances and astronauts do live and work in orbit. Is it better to have this in uncoordinated one-off systems or to make a standard method of communication for now and especially the future?
