It’s a law that is applied to anything that the regime wants to silence, not necessarily LGBTQ stuff. It was passed around the start of the war

And apparently Russia changed My Little Pony's content rating to 18+ in December, which seems insane. The "reason" is because there was one episode in a later season featuring a "lesbian couple" which was only confirmed by the show creators and never actually mentioned in the show itself. It's like banning Harry Potter because J.K. Rowling said on Xitter that Dumbledore is gay.
