Does a VPN used on a smartphone with Wi-Fi disabled (mobile data only enabled) provide any sort of protection?

I've never completely understood this, but I think the answer would probably be "no," although I'm not sure. Usually when I leave the house I turn off wifi and just use mobile data (this is a habit from my pre-VPN days), although I guess I should probably just keep it on since using strange Wi-Fi with a VPN is ok (unless someone...

M365 dropping email from Gmail domain?

I work for the support department of a large multinational imaging company. Starting yesterday, we started getting tons of calls from customers who have been sending email from their devices from Gmail domains who are not able to send emails to M365 users. A bit of snooping in our test M365 domain shows that they are being...

Android users who have a keen eye for design and detail, how is the whole stutter/lag situation? Esp. after a few years of use?

I haven't used an Android device since my last one, the Galaxy S8. Beautiful hardware, beautiful design, but it was plagued with animation stutters and dropped frames. I switched to an iPhone and an iPad around 6 years ago. And the animations were buttersmooth. It was almost unthinkable to achieve such a fluid interface on any...

Should I *GASP* create a reddit account so I can get support from Tuta(nota)?

Because they're not answering my support queries, and I've been having connectivity issues since the last two versions or so. Most of the time they've been pretty good, but if their desktop client can't sync to their servers it's of no use to me. Is anyone else having this problem?...

Faster backup solution?

I use Beyond Compare to sync files from my laptop to my NAS which is a QNAP (my laptop is Linux Mint). It is incredibly slow, to the point that it is driving me crazy. Admittedly, I have lots of large files on my laptop that I move around frequently, so that may just be how it is. I do have my laptop setup to sync to my phone...

Google's Chrome Browser Analyzing Your Browsing History with so-called "Privacy Sandbox" Feature

For nearly two years now, Google has been gradually rolling out a feature to all Chrome users that analyzes their browsing history within the browser itself. This feature aims to replace third-party cookies and individual tracking by categorizing you into an interest category and sharing that category with advertisers. It's like...

Facebook degrading Firefox user experience now?

Recently, most images on Facebook have stopped loading for me. Sometimes it's just a few images. Other times it's almost all images. The longer I scroll, the worse it gets. Today, I couldn't even see my own pictures. Are any other Firefox users having this problem, or maybe it's a server issue on Facebook's end?
